After seeing that the new DLC contains no story whatsoever, save for a vestige, I decided to take a look at the Japanese version of the roadmap, because the Japanese players didn't seem to be complaining as much.
When looking at it, I noticed something different. Here's the two roadmaps (English on top, Japanese on bottom):The texts for the English version say:New Boss・New Story・New Stage・New NPC Costumes・New Customization PartsThe texts for the Japanese version:新たなボス・記憶の残滓・フィールド・衣替えバディ・ブラッドコードを配信予定When translated (I'm only N5 so bear with me), it comes out the same, save for two points (in bold):New Boss・ New Memory Vestige・New Stage・New NPC Costumes・ New Blood Code'New Memory Vestige' (could probably be translated to 'Memory Echo' too, probably) no doubt refers to the vestiges we restore the memories of and in turn view a short story. This is accurate, because we do get a new vestige to restore in the DLC. However, for whatever reason, this was changed to 'New Story' for the English community, which is a tad misleading, because when you think of a new story, you think of something long and engaging, like the mainline story of the game; not a memory echo.' New Blood Code' (ignore を配信予定; this is referring to everything) was changed to 'New Customization Parts' which is a little weird, but I guess it still works out, because Blood Code's could be considered a form of customization. Again, this could be a bit misleading, because it makes you think about customization for your character (e.g. I don't consider this change to be too wrong though as it's still fairly accurate in English. In conclusion, I think the most misleading texts on the English version of the roadmap is 'New Story', because it made us think we were getting a new big mainline story or a decently sized side story, but we were merely just getting new memory echoes.
^This majorly. I honestly don't care much about the story at this point tbh but this lack of costumes is ridiculous especially when the devs decided to prioritize making costumes for AI, things who everyone may or may not ever use or care enough about to keep alive long enough for a costume to make a real impact.over the player. Revenants beware, as Bandai Namco has confirmed that Code Vein's second DLC is set to arrive on February 26 for PC, PlayStation 4,.

So, going by this, I'm assuming the future DLCs will also come with new memory echos; not big storylines. There's still a poster out there that has 'Hellfire Knight' plastered on it, not anything about representing all DLC, and as an American, the US account doesn't have the poster with 'download contents' from what I looked at. Additionally, a lot of people don't follow the Japanese Twitter account, and others don't use Twitter period(I never do unless it's a case of rn with someone sending me a link), so there's not just lack of info, it's not consistent. And one can still misconstrue that image with being representative of the Hellfire Knight DLC, they don't elaborate that in that image. The tweet itself just labels it as art for the DLC, not necessarily all the DLC unless the translation option is that bad.

This is an interesting take on the situation. I've been thinking about good and bad DLCs a lot today thanks to this fiasco, and I keep coming back to the conclusion that season pass DLCs generally aren't very good. They're generally fluff with any meaty DLC being a paid expansion outside of the pass (e.g. XCOM 2, Monster Hunter World), with very rare exceptions like DS3's high quality DLC pass. It's also noteworthy to me that DS3 had two DLC offerings as opposed to the three that is customary for these things. I think that's for the best, as I'd rather get two good expansions than three mediocre ones.
And they want 10$ for this.Look I'm not complaining about the dlc itself is just the price.I think is overpriced seeing that everything except the blood codes,Boss and Io and louis costume, are just re-skin of weapons and blood veils. The new area is not even worth exploring just run though it kill the two re-skin bosses and then fight the real boss.Kill him and you're done. Now you need to farm the boss to get what you want and that is the new Io and Louis costume.I don't know why i have the feeling that they will said after the dlc 3 release 'New expansion coming soon sold separately,Not include in the season pass'.
Sir you are talking about microtransactions. This is A DLC.I'm a Black desert online player and no i can't compare them because they are not the same. This is like saying that Paid mods that Bethesda have in the creation club are mini dlcs and not paid mods.I understand your point good sir but i can't compare them.Dark souls is good value because it offer a Completely new area with 'New two bosses (one that have three phases)New weapons, new armors, new spell, new pyromancy, new miracles, new enemies not re-desing and New lore. And fighting Friede is a nightmare in NG+7 ?The season pass cost the same 24.99 same for Dark souls 2 and Dark souls 2 include three dlcs full of content to lose yourself for hours.I'm not blaming the devs I'm blaming Bandai for overpricing this dlc.$5 is reasonable amount to paid for it but not $10(Dark souls 2 for 360 and PS3 just in case).
Prepare to be thunderstruck – the third DLC for Bandai Namco’s Code Vein is now available. Lord of Thunder costs $9.99 standalone but is also included with the Season Pass. After dealing with the and, players must now face against the titular Lord of Thunder. After you defeat the new boss, you can undertake new Horror Hunting Trials and earn rewards based on different objectives. New weapons include the Fulmen Blade, Thunderbolt and Lightning Brionac, each utilizing the power of thunder. There’s also several new Blood Codes, from Vali’s quick strikes to the ranged power of Orion. You can also unlock alternate costumes for partners Jack and Eva (check out the trailer below to see how they look).
